Project Overview
Originally created for a course in Fall 2024, this ad series was refined over the summer to sharpen the concept, visuals, and tone. The campaign promotes scalp & hair sunscreen through clean, inclusive designs that highlight different people and outdoor settings — from hikers to sandcastle builders. Below is a glimpse of process from the original ad design to new designs with refinements as well as mockups and final layouts that show how the ads could live in real-world, out-of-home placements.
Scope: 2 weeks
Project roles: Typography, copywriting, & design
Tools: Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop

First Draft
This first iteration below is a great start. However, I had a few goals to improve this series:
- Update images to improve diversity & inclusivity.
- Clean up graphic elements i.e. the arrows.
- Rework layout so the hierarchy is clearer.
- Add another ad to the series to make the campaign feel more complete & comprehensive.

finals & mockups

Below are the final designs & mockups - a few improvements to note:
- Included a tagline that appears across all images that ties them together and included extra copy for each piece that fits with each image.
- Changed images altogether and varied the subjects' backgrounds.
- Layout and hierarchy is much clearer and the arrows appear cleaner without overwhelming the ads.
- Included not just one but two advertisements - totaling 4 ads to round out the
ad campaign.
